Week two of our year end campaign, What Matters, focuses on our Economic & Workforce Development field-of-interest. These grants support intentional, inventive efforts providing access to economic opportunities for underserved populations. Through this field we promote social, economic and environmental growth by supporting innovative entrepreneurial support systems, skills training, mentorship and education.
Field-of-Interest Endowment Funds ensure resources today and tomorrow. Our spotlight organization, Casa de Salud, uses a Foundation grant for the Health Apprentice Program – a forward looking effort to provide young people with hands-on experience in a clinical setting prior to them pursuing graduate and/or professional degrees in medical fields. The program builds a pipeline of healthcare workers, specifically focused on supporting medical careers of low-income populations.
The truth is, our community has many needs. Providing stable job opportunities for everyone, especially for in-demand industries like healthcare, is vital to creating a community we all want to live in. That’s why working together, we can make Albuquerque a place where every person can reach their full potential.
Help us continue to support the Economic & Workforce Development field and the organizations it helps make this a better place to live. Gifts of all amounts are welcome for any area of need. When you give, even a few dollars, you join hundreds of others to leverage your resources. Donating through the Foundation offers the ultimate in flexibility, ensuring there will be resources tomorrow for needs we can't even imagine today. Because that’s what matters – our collective efforts toward a common goal.
